How to read the result
A public IP identifies an internet connection endpoint or provider-assigned interface, not necessarily one device or person. Home and mobile providers often use dynamic addressing, and carrier-grade NAT can place many customers behind a shared IPv4 address. A VPN or forward proxy normally exposes its exit address instead of the access provider's address. IPv6 connections may use temporary addresses that rotate for privacy.
Limits and privacy
The result is the address buffer.lol can infer from the request and trusted hosting headers. Other destinations may see a different address when a proxy uses multiple exits or when IPv4 and IPv6 routes differ. The tool does not reveal a precise physical location or prove identity.
